Ferrari 330 GTO

I’ve spent 3 days at Spa Francorchamps enjoying some fabulous historic racing. A very wide range of classic cars were racing, everything from a Mini Cooper to a more recent McLaren F1 GTR longtail. This is my favourite event of the year, historic racing is so much more fun to watch then modern racing. The way these classic cars slide through the corners is a real joy to see. The weather was perfect with sun all weekend long, that must have helped to bring some more spectators to this event. While last year most of the grandstands were near empty this year a decent crowd turned up. And for good reason :) A small selection of the photos I made can be seen in 3 galleries:

Spa 6 hours 2010

Historic racing at Spa Francorchamps, another successful event organized by Roadbook. No less then 600 cars participated at this event. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best. As you can see from some of the photos we had our share of rain. Still there were some nice races and of course the fantastic 6 hour race on saturday. The photo galleries:

Spa Italia 2010

I still remember the first time Spa Italia was organized, it was a small event with a good mix of Italian cars. Well the paddock was pretty crowded this year even if the weather was very bad for the time of the year. To bad there weren’t any races going on, only some demo laps behind pace cars and some free driving. I prefer some more action on a track like Spa Francorchamps. I didn’t stay very long so only 353 photos. I did spot the new Ferrari 458 Italia, and it does look good. My favourite car was the yellow Lamborghini Miura, although it wasn’t in the best shape.
